Scuba diving is one of the activities that can be done to explore the underwater world. There are many ways to describe scuba diving. Scuba is an acronym for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. But before you dive, you must know the basic skills, do's and don’ts of scuba diving.

For most people, scuba diving is one of the water activities that they do as tourists while on vacation or often called as recreational divers. Recreational divers love to enjoy marine life and interact with sea creatures, their maximum depth is between 30 - 40 m. Scuba diving is a common hobby among people of all ages, starting from 8 years old can experience scuba diving and at 10 years old they can register for junior scuba diver certification.

If you want to try scuba diving for the first time, you don’t have to enroll in the scuba diving certification if you are unsure about it. You can join the Try Scuba program to experience scuba diving. Try Scuba can be done in confined water or in the ocean with shallow waters with a maximum depth up to 12m. It is not dangerous as long as you follow the rules, accompanied by a qualified instructor and know the basic skill and safety guidelines, the most important is to use the proper diving equipment, All divers use the same primary / basic scuba gear. The basic or primary scuba gear are fins, boots, mask, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, and tank. Did you know? The air tank contains 21% oxygen and 79%, has the same mixture with the air that we breathe on the surface. The air tank does not contain pure oxygen as it can be toxic and harmful to the human body.

The most important thing that all divers should know and keep in mind is don't dive alone, they should dive with someone as their buddy or it is called a buddy system. The reason why you should dive with your buddy is because of safety reasons, you need someone that accompanies you just in case something turns wrong. If there is something wrong with you they can help you example if you running out of air they can share the air with you by their secondary regulator.

All divers before beginning their program have to answer the medical form. They have to read carefully and thoroughly and also have to answer the medical form honestly before starting the diving session.
