What is the difference between Open Water vs. Junior Open Water ?

Open Water Diver Course is a very first step to becoming an independent diver. It requires the student to finish the theory, pool session and 4x dives open water session, Junior Open Water intended for the participants who are younger than 15 years old and at least 10 years old. This article will let you know the difference between Open Water and Junior Open Water
Group Ratio
The group ratio for the Junior Open Water may not exceed 4:1 so it will be a small ratio and not more than two children (10-11 years old) in one group.
Depth of Limitation
For children ages 10-11 years old
Divers aged 10-11 years old must be accompanied by the Instructor or a certified parent / a certified guardian. The maximum depth is only 12m.
For children ages 12-14 years old
Divers aged 12-14 years old must be accompanied by a certified adult as well. The maximum depth is 18 m.
Open Water Course Program Bali Fun Diving
For the Open Water Scuba Diver course we have two kinds of programs, a 2 Days program and 3 days program. The 2 Days Program is more suitable if you have limited time in Bali. Meanwhile, we recommend the 3 days program if you have a lot of spare time.
Itinerary 2 Days:
Theory and elearning must be done independently before the program starts
Day 1 : Pool Session and 1x dive at Sanur
Day 2: 3x Dive at Tulamben or 3x Dive at PadangBai (day trip)
Pick up at around 7.00 - 7.30 , finish day trip around 19.00
Itinerary 3 Days:
Theory and elearning must be done independently before the program starts
Day 1 : Pool Session (half day)
Day 2 : 2x Dives Tulamben / Padangbai (day trip)
Day 3 : 2x Dives Padangbai / Tulamben (day trip)
Pick up at around 7.00 - 7.30 , finish day trip around 17.00
Program for Kids under 10 years old
Program for kids under 10 years old and at least 8 years old, they can join the Try Scuba Pool. Try Scuba Pool will take place in a pool directly supervised by a qualified instructor with parents or adults accompanied.
